b Overview /b p In this role you drive site-wide health, safety and compliance at our Northampton Distribution Centre. You lead a safety-focused culture, working with operations to embed proactive practices and optimise warehouse performance. You own risk assessments, investigations and regulatory checks, delivering training and using data to drive improvements. You will manage a small safety team and collaborate with external partners to safeguard colleagues and sustain 24-hour operations. This is an opportunity to shape safety as a business enabler at scale. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li bonus based on performance /li li pension scheme /li li Life Insurance /li li Private Medical Insurance /li li Colleague discounts across Group including Toolstation 20% off /li li Save-as-you-earn Buy-as-you-earn schemes /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead site health safety governance, reviewing risk assessments and SOPs and conducting incident investigations with line managers /li li Manage statutory inspections, external inspectors, permits to work, and audit-ready registries /li li Chair the monthly H S Forum and communicate safety updates to management and site teams /li li Oversee fleet telemetry and MHE asset control using Yale Vision and BE Portal, including access controls and repairs approvals /li li Drive proactive safety via data analytics, behavioural observations, near-miss tracking, CCTV review and monthly reporting to leadership /li li Coordinate training and onboarding, including manual handling and third-party trainer delivery /li li Lead team management and agency relations (ACS/Siamo) while enforcing anti-modern slavery compliance checks /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li NEBOSH qualification, IOSH membership, or equivalent Health Safety qualification /li li Experience managing H S/compliance in fast-paced warehousing or distribution /li li Proven risk assessment, root-cause investigation and regulatory compliance capability /li li Strong leadership to influence safety as a business enabler /li li Excellent communication, presentation and training delivery across all levels /li li Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills to identify safety trends /li /ul ul li leadership /li li communication /li li training delivery /li li MHE telemetry (Yale Vision) /li li ISO 45001 familiarity /li li ISO 14001 familiarity /li /ul
