Overview
In this Southern-based role, you drive utility sector growth for Keyline by turning complex technical enquiries into profitable packages. You act as a regional authority for customers, suppliers and branches, coaching teams and reactivating dormant contractor accounts to expand market share. You will own high-value tenders and develop dedicated stock solutions to alleviate contractor lead-time issues. This role offers autonomy to shape regional trading with a strong technical and commercial impact.

Responsibilities
- Own quote enquiries from initial contact to won order, securing profitable margins
- Re-engage dormant accounts and nurture them back into regular trade
- Lead complex high-value tenders with a clear win plan for branches
- Build stock packages addressing contractor lead-time challenges to secure project spend
- Coach and upskill branch teams on live enquiries to enable independent trading utilities
- Maximise opportunities by managing full trench scope (pipe to finishings)
Key requirements
- At least 2 years in a utility merchant, pipeline specialist or utility contractor environment
- Proven track record with clean and wastewater enquiries, technical specs and contractor schedules
- Confidence in quoting, estimating and negotiating price over the phone
- Strong product knowledge across PE pressure pipe, barrier pipe systems, electrofusion fittings, gate valves, boundary boxes and access chambers
- Practical grasp of Water Authority adoption standards (G81 / regional spec books) and building profitable full trench quotes
