Regional Hire Fitter in Bristol

As a Regional Hire Fitter in Travis Perkins, you will play a vital role in supporting our Regional Sales & Operations Manager to meet and be compliant to all mechanical, electrical processes and procedures in regards to repairing and testing tools and equipment to the Travis Perkins Hire standard across our Branches in Bristol Swindon and Reading. What will I be doing? In this multi-skilled role you will be tasked with ensuring all tools and hire equipment are repaired, tested and safe for use and readily available for hire. Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, so you will need to adhere and be compliant to all Hire processes and procedures including:

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on tools, small plant, and light machinery
• Diagnose faults and get equipment back to full working order
• Visit different branches to provide on-site service and support
• Log repairs, service reports, and asset history using our mobile repair app
• Follow all health and safety rules and complete risk assessments
• Share feedback on recurring issues to help improve our fleet
• Support and coach branch teams to raise repair standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool hire, plant hire, or mechanical/electrical repair environments, familiarity with digital repair systems or mobile job apps
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills, ideally across a variety of equipment brands, are essential
• Technical qualifications in mechanical/electrical repair (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) preferred
• Comfortable working independently and travelling regularly within a region
• Self motivated with good interpersonal skills
• A full clean UK driving licence is required
