As Branch Manager, you'll lead and inspire a diverse team of 8 colleagues, including sales, drivers, and warehouse experts, while overseeing 2 delivery vehicles. Your mission is to maximize growth, drive success, and keep everything running smoothly, all while prioritising safety. You will use your deep understanding of the market and your customers to ensure the team focuses on the right opportunities. What You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading Safety & Wellbeing: Champion a strong safety culture, conducting risk assessments and promoting best practices to create an inclusive environment.
- Leading High Performance: Set ambitious goals, inspire the team, track performance, and build adaptable teams with succession planning and ongoing development.
- Customer Service & Sales: Build lasting relationships with your top 10 customers, identify opportunities, drive sales growth, and resolve complaints efficiently.
- Managing Commercial Growth: Cultivate supplier relationships, capitalise on opportunities, monitor financial trends, and manage stock and working capital.
- Operations & Transport Excellence: Ensure high standards of compliance and operational efficiency, optimise layout and safety, and balance resource needs, stock levels, and cost control.
- Driven by Success: Take calculated risks, make bold decisions, and always strive to be the best in everything you do.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 3 years in merchanting or multi-site customer/trade distribution with a proven track record of delivering growth plans.
- Customer & Colleague Focused: Able to set and achieve growth targets, focusing on customer satisfaction and team development.
- Results-Driven: Consistently meeting budgets and operating plans while driving profitability.
- Skilled Negotiator: Comfortable negotiating face-to-face with customers and suppliers, building long-term relationships.
