This role is for a highly commercial, multi‑site retail manager to help continue our success.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll take responsibility for a range of 30 stores throughout the South West, maximizing sales and performance.
- You’ll review our trading propositions, standards and service, optimise customer relationships, and build upon our customer‑obsessed culture.
- Combining passion for people and customers with operational excellence and leadership quality, you’ll identify areas for continuous improvement and deliver the best commercial outcomes.
- Beyond short‑term goals, you will drive the talent and people agenda, ensuring change happens quickly, building succession plans at all levels, and setting up the region for long‑term growth and success.
Day‑to‑Day
- Commercial. Drive customer retention and growth, inspire performance, and implement sales initiatives, focusing on opportunity, costs and the bottom line.
- Operational Excellence. Lead by example, maintain accurate reporting, and ensure compliance across all activities. Manage top‑tier stores, health and safety, security, cash, stock integrity, and shop floor/warehouse presentation.
- Collaborating. Share new ideas and best practice across the business, coordinating with Recruitment and Supply Chain to ensure smooth operations.
- Talent Development. Coach the team to prioritize staff development; identify training needs, resolve issues, and tailor PDPs to support retention. Foster succession planning, champion diversity and inclusion, and empower staff to be heard.
- Leadership. Inspire, motivate, and create an engagement‑focused environment, driving the team toward success.
What You’ll Bring
- Multi‑site management experience. At least 3 years managing multi‑site retail, with employment law, P&L accountability, stock management and recruitment expertise.
- Proven sales and performance building experience is essential.
- Customer focus. Proven success in building a customer base, keeping customers at the heart of decisions, and measurable NPS scores.
- Communication. Exceptional communicator able to adapt style from store assistants to board directors and the public, creating positive engagement and productive relationships across the business.
- Adaptability. Embrace constant change, problem‑solve at pace, adapt positively under pressure, and thrive in a growth environment.
