The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Based out of our regional sales office in Milton Keynes, this role is working Monday - Friday 40 hours per week, with NO expectation to work weekends.
What will you do?
- Drive and deliver the strategic goals set by the company as part of the 5 year plan.
- Have responsibility for a team and hit targets set based on customer spend and growth for the sales office.
Some accountabilities of the role:
- Understand the ledger of accounts trading through the office and create customer plans in conjunction with the external key account managers to drive sales.
- Ensure the team manages enquiries from initial contact to invoice by identifying the products or materials required by the customer, offering alternatives if necessary to profitably maximise the sale of goods.
- Ensure the team proactively utilise the Keyline apps such as Sales Hub to manage projects, quotations and customer management.
- Regular contact with key suppliers to understand market conditions and commercial opportunities the two businesses can collaborate on.
- Oversee the process for setting CSA’s and price management with customer ledger, utilise the management accounts to ensure business is profitable and margins are in line with business expectations.
- Have a good handle on price and stock availability in conjunction with the commercial team to stay one step ahead.
- Optimise customer rebates and third party deals to leverage business and protect margin.
- Review customer profitability through the MI reporting on a quarterly basis and create a gap analysis to identify missing products purchases, link this with the annual customer plan.
- Drive high performance with the sales team, find new ways to enhance the skills in the team and continue to build their commercial awareness and customer relationships.
- Develop the sales team around the customer base, ensuring targets are set and measures in place to grow the customer spend across the branch accounts.
- Keep up to date with any changes in safety measure for colleagues and customers, stay in regular contact with the local RM/OM.
- Team development, regular 1-2-1 meetings with the team to understand their development needs and career progression.
- Inter business trading - This role develops, manages and maintains a customer base which then develops to ensure that all group companies, branches and sector sales are working towards a common goal.
