We’re strengthening our Travis Perkins Hire business and building a team to win new customers, re‑engage lapsed accounts and unlock major growth opportunities. To support this, we’re looking for a National Sales Manager who can lead a sales team, drive strategic growth and make a real commercial impact.

About The Role
As National Sales Manager, you’ll lead a team of around eight people to drive revenue, improve margins and build strong customer relationships across our Hire and Hire Waste offering. Your focus will be on:
- Re‑engaging unmanaged and lapsed customers
- Winning new business from competitors
- Supporting external sales and specialist teams across the Group
- Redefining the customer proposition for Hire customers
- Delivering strong revenue, utilisation and margin performance
This role sits within our newly formed Central Hire Sales Team, an exciting environment where you’ll help shape the customer strategy and support new branch openings, blitz activity and competitive market responses.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and motivate your team to deliver against key targets and KPIs
- Engage directly with customers to build relationships and generate sales
- Win back lapsed accounts and secure new opportunities from competitors
- Collaborate with internal and external sales colleagues to maximise growth
- Use data and insight to drive commercial decisions and improve performance
- Ensure a brilliant customer experience at every touchpoint
- Manage a portfolio worth up to ÂŁ20m across the team
What we’re looking for
