You’ll gain a deep, hands-on understanding of the entire merchanting lifecycle, rotating through all branch areas and moving rapidly into a management development pathway designed to equip you with the skills needed to lead a high-performing team.
You’ll be right in the thick of the action, playing a pivotal role in our team. From managing stock in the yard to mastering sales techniques on the trade counter, handling phone enquiries and emails, and even shadowing our delivery drivers – you’ll cover it all. You’ll become an indispensable expert our customers rely on.
Year 1 Focus: Dive deep into the specialist merchant industry, market dynamics, and our business strategy. You’ll become a product guru and a customer-service superstar, all while embedding our ‘safety first’ approach.
Year 2 Focus: Hone your leadership style and master the art of inspiring and motivating a team.
Your learning is ‘on the job,’ supported by a dedicated apprenticeship coach who provides 1:1 coaching, mentoring, and technical training. Successfully complete your end-point assessments to achieve two L3 Apprenticeships and fast-track your progression with Travis Perkins plc.
