As a Hire Fitter/Driver in Travis Perkins, you will play a vital role in supporting our Hire Manager to meet and be compliant with all mechanical, electrical processes and procedures related to repairing and testing tools and equipment to the Travis Perkins Tool Hire standard.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all tools and hire equipment are tested and safe for use and readily available for hire.
- Support the Hire Manager in managing all aspects of the department and business.
- Deliver and collect a wide variety of tools & equipment to our customers.
- Act as the pivotal contact for our customers, nurturing relationships, understanding their needs and offering expert advice, recommending alternatives to maximise sales.
- Adhere to and be compliant with all Tool Hire processes and procedures, including audits and inspections.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience within the Plant and Hire Industry or a good understanding of electrical, petrol and diesel equipment would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Transferable skills such as customer service and sales experience are required.
- A full clean UK driving licence is required.
