Kitchen Salesperson – South Woodham, Chelmsford

Part-time, pick your own 29 hours (between 07:30 and 17:00, M-F)

UNCAPPED commissions from the first penny!

Please note that due to travel involved with this role (site-visits across the local area), applicants must have a full, valid UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle (business expenses policy applies).

As a Kitchen Salesperson with Benchmarx, you\’ll embody our brand\’s customer-first mindset as you embrace your creativity to design and upsell bespoke kitchens to a range of private and trade customers. This Sales role requires an experienced Salesperson with strong time-management skills, though kitchen-knowledge and design processes can be easily taught on the job. You\’ll design unique but simple kitchens, primarily for extension projects, using CAD software (training provided) to bring your site-visit vision to life.

You\’ll supplement your leads with warm salescalls to existing customers of Travis Perkins plc, driving success against sales targets by maximising add-ons and building strong, long-term relationships to secure repeat business. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience in the sector — we’ll provide all the training and development you need. Our most successful Kitchen Designers come from a variety of backgrounds, but they all excel at delivering an exceptional customer Sales experience.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Designing for Traders and Homeowners: Using your newly gained product knowledge and design skills, you’ll create bespoke kitchen designs that meet customer needs and exceed their expectations.
  • Building Lasting Relationships: You’ll get to know customers on a first-name basis, developing strong, long-term connections by delivering top-notch service and support.
  • Working with Homeowners: You’ll produce accurate kitchen plans and quotes, truly understanding their project to design their ‘perfect’ kitchen while keeping Trade Customers updated throughout the process.
  • Creative Flair & CAD Expertise: Using CAD, you’ll design dream kitchens that reflect the customer\’s vision, asking the right questions to tailor the solution to their needs.
  • Networking & Collaboration: Building a strong customer base to meet targets, you’ll also work closely with the external Sales Rep to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • On-Site Visits: Not all customers will come to the branch, so you’ll visit homes or building sites to create inspirational designs on CAD and present them to clients.
  • Safety First: Safety is key, so you’ll ensure colleagues and customers leave the showroom safely by following all safety policies and procedures.
