Responsibilities
- Test, repair and prepare hire tools and equipment so they are safe, compliant and ready for customers.
- Support the Hire Manager with the day‑to‑day operation of the department.
- Deliver and collect a wide range of tools and equipment.
- Build strong customer relationships, understand their needs and offer expert advice.
- Follow all safety procedures, audits and compliance requirements – safety is at the heart of everything we do.
Qualifications
- Experience in the plant and hire industry or knowledge of electrical, petrol or diesel equipment (helpful but not mandatory).
- Strong customer‑service, sales or communication skills.
- Mandatory: A full clean UK driving licence.
- Must be adaptable, resilient, energetic and comfortable in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
- Aim to build a long‑term career within a large PLC.
