As a Hire Fitter/Driver at Travis Perkins, you will play a vital role in supporting our Hire Manager by ensuring all mechanical and electrical tools and equipment are repaired, tested, and compliant with Travis Perkins Tool Hire standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Testing and ensuring all tools and hire equipment are safe and available for hire.
- Supporting your Hire Manager in managing department operations.
- Delivering and collecting tools and equipment for customers.
- Providing expert advice to customers based on your knowledge of our products and services, nurturing relationships, and recommending suitable alternatives to maximize sales.
- Adhering to all safety, audit, and inspection procedures related to Tool Hire.
Experience and Requirements:
- Previous experience in the Plant and Hire Industry or knowledge of electrical, petrol, and diesel equipment is advantageous but not essential.
- Transferable skills such as excellent customer service and sales experience are important.
- A full clean UK Driver's Licence is required.
