We're hiring a Fixed Asset Finance Analyst to join the team that owns asset accounting for the whole of Travis Perkins Group. You'll help us look after a property and asset portfolio with a net book value of more than £700m, covering buildings, land, and the construction projects that will shape our branch network for years to come. This is a hands‑on role with real visibility. You'll work across Oracle Fixed Assets, General Ledger and Projects every day, partnering with our Property team, Finance colleagues, and stakeholders across the Group's brands. If you like making numbers tell a clear story and you genuinely enjoy improving the way work gets done, this is a great seat to do it from.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining the Oracle Fixed Asset register, with a focus on property assets, buildings, construction projects and land.
  • Generating, posting and testing depreciation journals each month.
  • Reporting on assets under construction and managing the transfer to the asset register once projects are ready to capitalise.
  • Reconciling the asset register to the general ledger using the Oracle ARCs tool.
  • Supporting the half‑year and full‑year audit cycles.
  • Acting as a go‑to for the Property team on Oracle project queries.
  • Driving continuous improvement, building better dashboards, SQL‑connected sheets, and reports that non‑finance stakeholders can actually use.

What you'll bring

Essential

  • Solid intermediate Excel / Google Sheets skills, including working confidently with large datasets.
  • Experience working in a team that talks to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Strong problem‑solving instincts and clear communication, you can explain a reconciliation to someone who's never seen one.
  • A team‑first mindset, an empathetic style, and a genuine desire to improve the way things work.

Nice to have

  • Part‑qualified AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ACA, or the ambition to start studying (we'll support you).
  • Some prior experience in Finance or an associated function.
  • Exposure to Oracle Fixed Assets, General Ledger or Projects.
  • SQL or similar experience for pulling and shaping data.

Why join us

You'll sit at the heart of how Travis Perkins Group manages one of its largest balance sheet items. The work is genuinely meaningful, every depreciation run, every capitalisation, every reconciliation touches decisions about where we build, what we invest in, and how the business reports to the market. You'll also have room to make the role your own. We want someone who looks at a manual report and thinks "this could be a dashboard," who spots a process that could be 30% faster, and who isn't afraid to build it. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
