Data Analyst within National Sales Department - Architecting the Future of Sales Data at Benchmarx.

Are you a SQL enthusiast who speaks the language of business? We aren’t just looking for someone to "crunch numbers." We are looking for a Strategic Data Partner, the primary architect of our national sales data landscape. If you can bridge the gap between complex technical datasets (BigQuery/Looker) and the commercial realities of a multi-million-pound contract division, we want to talk to you.

The Role: Why it Matters

Working in a fully remote capacity, you will provide high-level analytical support to our Contract Sales division. You won’t just be reporting on the past; you’ll be influencing the future by ensuring excellence in contract management, financial accuracy, and service delivery.

What’s on your plate?

  • The Data Architect: You’ll leverage BigQuery and Looker to maintain and evolve our reporting estate, designing new solutions that adapt to a shifting market.
  • Commercial Navigator: You’ll lead on complex contract administration, managing everything from customer rebates and claimbacks to financial accruals and stock ranges.
  • Digital Champion: Drive the implementation of our digital customer tools, leading training sessions and resolving high-level system queries.
  • Pricing Strategist: Manage and maintain Customer Service Agreements (CSAs), executing rigorous price reviews that keep the business competitive.
  • Trusted Partner: Act as the bridge between data and people, translating complex MI into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and branch teams.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Technical DNA: You have proven experience with BigQuery, Looker, or similar SQL-based BI tools. You don’t just use dashboards; you build them.
  • Commercial Sharpness: You understand that behind every data point is a financial reality (rebates, margins, and accruals are your bread and butter).
  • The "Translator" Skill: You can take a mountain of "tech-speak" and turn it into a clear strategy for a non-technical stakeholder.
  • A "Continuous Improvement" Mindset: You naturally look for ways to automate, refine, and improve existing workflows.
  • Remote Autonomy: You’re a self-starter who thrives in a 100% digital collaboration environment.

What’s in it for you?

  • True Flexibility: Work from anywhere in the UK with a setup designed for digital-first collaboration.
  • High Visibility: Your analysis directly influences national performance and board-level decision-making.
  • The Benchmarx Culture: We’ve spent 15 years building a "You be you" culture. As part of the Travis Perkins Group, we offer the security of a major employer with the inclusive, friendly feel of a close-knit team.
