The eSIM & Device Engineer will join our Core Networks Engineering team. They will be a dedicated specialist focused on Device setting management, driving our mission toward global connectivity!
Your main responsibilities will:
- Design and validate eSIM Electrical Profiles (MVNO/Roaming) following GSMA SGP.22 standards.
- Rigorously test the Local Profile Assistant (LPA) behaviour on the latest flagships (iPhone 16, Samsung S24, Pixel 9) to ensure flawless Remote SIM Provisioning.
- Plan and execute Over-the-Air (OTA) campaigns to update eUICC file systems and steering logic for devices already deployed globally.
- Use tools like COMPRION or UL SIMtester to analyse APDU logs and debug communication failures in Remote File Management (RFM).
- Verify Steering of Roaming (SoR) logic on global testbeds, ensuring our users always land on the fastest partner network.
- Minimise profile sizes to guarantee fast downloads over 3G, 4G, and 5G network conditions.
Must Haves
- 3+ years in mobile device configuration, OTA testing, and managing carrier settings (VoLTE, VoWiFi, APNs).
- Deep knowledge of Apple Carrier Bundles and Android network settings (GSMA NSX).
- You are comfortable navigating EF structures (ICCID, IMSI, PLMN) and analysing TLS-secured profile downloads.
- You likely have experience working at a Tier 1 Carrier, an MVNO, or a top-tier eSIM vendor (G+D, Thales, IDEMIA).
- Familiarity with Subscription Management orchestration and a "problem-solver" mindset for niche global hardware.
- Fluent English is essential for collaborating across our 50+ country remote team.
Nice to Have
- Remote testing (e.g. Segron, Mobilium) experience.
- Experience with OTA systems e.g. Thales.
- Knowledge of mobile network call flows (signalling) for 4G and 5G.
- Scripting languages (e.g. python).
