Travelport is the brains behind lots of your travel bookings- plane, car or hotel. Our technology is used to book that magical holiday, infamous bachelorette party or long overdue school reunion. While we can’t solve mosquito bites or lost luggage, we can simplify a lot of the technical parts of travel, and we’re looking for the best thinkers to help us do it.
As part of the Marketing & Communications function, you will lead Travelport’s internal communications to inform, engage, and align employees with our strategy, culture, and performance goals. The role owns the planning, creation, and delivery of internal campaigns and channels (≈80%) and provides targeted support to external communications for priority marketing/PR campaigns when additional capacity is needed (≈20%).
You will drive best practice and employee engagement across the organization, with strong aligned messaging and activities to embed Travelport’s vision and strategy. You will work closely with the Head of External Communications and fellow marketing colleagues to ensure activity is joined up and coordinated.
This role will interact with teams across the company, including C-suite, marketing, technology and customer-facing teams. A passion for the travel and tech industries would be ideal. This person will bring their creativity and innovative thinking to help engage and excite our colleagues, developing and implementing content-based campaigns to drive awareness and momentum.
Your role in action:
- Internal Communications (≈80%)
- Develop a yearly internal communications strategy and quarterly editorial plan aligned to company OKRs and leadership priorities.
- Maintain an evergreen narrative and key messages that connect our vision to employees’ day-to-day work.
- Partner with our People Leadership team to support our people agenda and in particular people manager communications.
- Design internal campaigns and initiatives that support our corporate narrative and amplify our marketing activity.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation and management of Homeport – our Travelport intranet - working closely with our Sharepoint teams.
- Work with colleagues across the business to keep Homeport content fresh, engaging and up to date.
- Maintain the process to manage regular updates across the intranet through designated Homeport content owners.
- Manage the homepage to create an engaging and informative resource that serves colleagues needs and that they keep returning to.
- Write and edit high-quality content for Homeport – our intranet - newsletters, leadership emails, Viva Engage posts, etc.
- Coach executives and senior leaders on clear, candid communication; plan global town halls, and leader updates.
- Equip line managers with toolkits (talking points, slides, FAQs) to cascade messages and host team conversations.
- Own channel governance, publishing calendar, and approval workflows; streamline the channel mix.
- Champion brand guidelines and message consistency across regions and teams.
- Support drafting press releases, OpEds, and thought leadership activity.
- Assist with media issues management; ensure internal/external message alignment.

- Strong stakeholder management and advising skills across all levels, including senior executives.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 channels (SharePoint, Viva Engage/Amplify) and analytics dashboards.
- Confidence in planning and delivering change and crisis communications.
- Data literacy—able to set measurement frameworks, interpret insights, and report impact.
- Commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and cultural/linguistic localisation.
- Collaborative, creative, organized, and comfortable working independently to drive results.
- Video scripting/production skills a plus.
