This role supports the EMEA & Americas Agency Commercial Organizations by providing essential finance support for commercial deals by leading the investment appraisal process across the region. The role will influence and assist all commercial decisions to drive incremental revenues and profits, provide variance analysis, highlight growth opportunities, and formulate plans to mitigate risks. Coordinate alignment between Agency and Travel Partners organizations to ensure an aligned go-to-market strategy.
Responsibilities include:
- Finance support for Key Account managers, providing high-quality financial analysis on Agency commercial deals
- Responsible for sign off on commercial deals with agreed DOA or gaining appropriate approvals, whilst ensuring compliance with Travelport financial operations processes.
- Support the region in modelling and understanding any new pricing and model change initiatives
- Provide ‘One’ finance voice across the commercial teams in analyzing and supporting commercial deals
- Ensure financial models and deals represent accurate information and reflect impact to Travelport’s financial position.
- Drive efficiencies in the deal approval process to improve speed and quality of deal reviews and approvals
- Provide training on how to construct deals to the commercial teams as required.
- Supporting implementation and rollout of new deal processes and commercial pricing.
- Work closely with FP&A teams to ensure full visibility of deals pipeline and that new deal/renewal impacts are reflected correctly in budgets/forecasts
Who we are looking for in this role:
- Studying to be an Accountant (CIMA or ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong business acumen, able to make decisions that affect the Travelport business, and be prepared to be challenged on these decisions.
- Self-starter with initiative and the ability to communicate ideas effectively
- Practical and proven experiences in an accounting environment
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to tailor their approach to deal with different levels of management.
- PC literacy requiring strong experience in PowerPoint & Excel. Cognos & Oracle - benefit
