Travelport is the brains behind lots of your travel bookings—plane, car or hotel. Our technology is used to book that magical holiday, long‑awaited bucket‑list trip or that overdue school reunion. While we can’t solve mosquito bites or lost luggage, we can simplify a lot of the technical parts of travel, and we’re looking for the best thinkers to help us do it.
A Data Project Manager is responsible for delivering meaningful data outcomes—not just managing process. They enable the successful delivery of data, analytics, and insight‑driven initiatives that lead to real business decisions, improved performance, and measurable results. They are accountable for scope, delivery timelines, quality, and outcomes across data initiatives, ensuring teams focus on solving the right problems and delivering usable, trusted data products. The Data Project Manager fosters a high‑performing, outcome‑focused environment that values progress over perfection, learning over ceremony, and results over activity.
Your role in action:
- Project manage the end‑to‑end delivery of data initiatives, ensuring work results in tangible business value such as improved decision‑making, operational insight, or performance improvement.
- Act as an active member of Agile or hybrid delivery teams, using Agile practices pragmatically to drive momentum, clarity, and results—rather than process adherence for its own sake.
- Serve as a servant leader, proactively removing impediments that slow or dilute delivery outcomes, including data quality issues, access constraints, unclear ownership, or unresolved dependencies.
- Facilitate key delivery touchpoints (e.g. stand‑ups, planning sessions, reviews, retrospectives) with a focus on:
- What was delivered
- What value it enabled
- What needs to change to accelerate results
Could this be you?
- Sufficient years in Project Management and/or Scrum Master roles, ideally with some experience delivering data, analytics, BI, or data platform initiatives with demonstrable business impact.
- A strong track record of delivering outcomes, not just running delivery processes or ceremonies.
- Experience leading multi‑disciplinary delivery teams, such as data engineers, analysts, developers, architects and business stakeholders.
- A pragmatic approach to Agile delivery in data environments, knowing when to adapt ways of working to suit the problem and context.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to:
- Focus stakeholders on outcomes and value
- Set clear expectations
- Drive decisions rather than deferring them
Benefits: We offer a package that includes 25 days annual leave per annum, plus Christmas working days (office shutdown), a hybrid working model, pension contribution, private medical, life assurance and personal travel insurance. We believe all employees contribute to the success of the company and should be able to share in that success, which is why all jobs are eligible to participate in our bonus program with any payouts being subject to individual and company performance.
