Travelport is the brains behind lots of your travel bookings—plane, car or hotel. Our technology is used to book that magical holiday, infamous bachelorette party or long overdue school reunion. While we can’t solve mosquito bites or lost luggage, we can simplify a lot of the technical parts of travel, and we’re looking for the best thinkers to help us do it.

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for identifying our customer needs in the travel industry market, understanding those needs by creating clear and defined features and lean business cases. Supporting an Agile Product Delivery Customer Centric approach in defining, building, and releasing a continuous flow of value and services to the customer.

Guiding the work through Lean product management and developing and executing on the product vision and product roadmap, the Senior NDC Order Product Manager identifies customer needs to articulate value propositions that will drive the optimum return on investment for their product. The Senior Product Manager – NDC, will be versed in NDC order technology, specifically content that enables end-to-end capabilities through API and agency point of sale. The product manager provides the vision and direction to the delivery teams around value pursuit, feature prioritisation and feature-level acceptance criteria. The Product Manager will apply analytics and quantitative, data-driven decision-making models to inform business decisions coupled with the ability to think creatively about constraints. Responsible for entire product lifecycle including sunsetting of products.

This role requires extensive collaboration with other product managers to ensure integration of content and prioritisation across many initiatives.

Your role in action:

  • Developing deep functional product knowledge and understanding the technical composition of systems that support it.
  • Developing and communicating the product vision and roadmap for internal and external consumption.
  • Researching and collaborating to understand and document customer needs and validate solutions.
  • Translating high-level market requirements into epic level features, authoring acceptance criteria, and providing product acceptance to ensure market needs are met. Tools used will be Aha! and JIRA.
  • Collaborating to understand, document, and support portfolio work.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert and leader to Travelport technical teams and our partner airlines ensuring a complete functional definition of the desired features.

  • Knowledge and implementation of product management and product owner techniques, tools & principles.
  • Ability to clearly express the connections between larger business goals and small backlog items for alignment with Product strategy.
  • Communicate effectively on the purpose and vision of the product roadmap to the wider delivery team and their role in delivering or contributing to the business outcomes.
  • Effective management, prioritisation and ownership & accountability for the product backlog; stakeholder management of the backlog and ability to say "no" where items don’t make sense for the bigger picture.
