The Commercial Finance Analyst works closely with the commercial teams managing relationships with APAC based airlines and travel agencies. By supporting the Senior Finance Analyst, this individual will play a key role in delivering the strategy for the region by providing high-quality and timely financial modelling and analysis to inform negotiations for new and renewal agreements. The role will influence and assist commercial decisions to drive incremental revenues and profits, provide detailed variance analysis, highlight opportunities for growth, and formulate plans to mitigate risks. Responsibilities: Provide finance support for Account Managers, including high-quality financial analysis on Agency/Travel Partner deals, obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring compliance with Travelport financial processes. Support regional initiatives involving new pricing models and changes. Act as the \’One\’ finance voice across commercial teams for analyzing and supporting deals with Agencies and Travel Partners. Ensure financial models and deals accurately reflect Travelport’s financial position. Train commercial teams on deal construction and provide Deal Builder training as needed. Review key accounts periodically with Financial Operations to ensure proper accounting. Understand and contribute to regional cash flow planning and commitments. Collaborate with regional account owners to enhance profitability through revenue growth and cost reduction initiatives, and assess pricing impacts on products. Sign off on commercial deals within the approval matrix. Work with Corporate and Financial Operations to ensure understanding and adherence to accounting policies, addressing any issues with Account teams and proposing alternatives. Support the rollout of new deal processes and commercial pricing strategies. What we look for/who would prosper in this role? Preferably studying or qualified in accounting (CIMA, ACCA, or similar). Highly analytical with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and experience manipulating large datasets. Strong commercial acumen, with experience in business case modeling for complex deals and communicating financial drivers. Experience in a business partnering role, influencing and challenging sales, marketing, and pricing decisions. Effective in managing and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment; proactive with good communication skills. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
