What does a great Analytics Engineer do?
We’re looking for a curious and driven graduate who is excited by the possibilities in data. As an Analytics Engineer II, you’ll design and build cloud-native data workflows that translate raw travel data into meaningful insights. Your insights will fuel everything from customer experience to key business decisions that shape Travelport’s future.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a huge variety of data and the latest technologies. This position will suit someone looking to start their career in a role where they will have a real business impact from day 1. An ideal candidate will be pro-active, bringing their own ideas and looking to actively contribute to the success of Travelport.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines in AWS environments (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift)
- Build clean, reusable data models supporting analytics across airlines, hotels, and agencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand challenges and deliver real-time, data-led solutions
- Contribute to data quality, documentation, and governance initiatives
- Explore and interpret partner, traveler, and marketplace data to uncover patterns and insights
- Apply the appropriate data visualizations and illustrations for easy comprehension by non-technical stakeholders
- Learn continuously, leveraging training resources and self-directed training, sharing knowledge and skills with others
- Create effective presentations on the analytical findings and ideas for internal and external customers
What we look for/who would prosper in this role?
- Recent graduate in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Innate curiosity and a strong desire to understand and use data to solve real-world problems
- Strong communication, collaboration, and eagerness to learn from others
- The ability to communicate and work effectively with business stakeholders across a wide variety of areas including sales, account management, product, technology and finance
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with AWS services and cloud data platforms
- Exposure to Python for data manipulation and scripting
- Knowledge of modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Snowflake) is a plus
- SQL experience is beneficial
