We are looking to hire a Senior Commercial Analyst to join our team! Reporting to the VP Commercial you’ll support our strategic and operational decision-making. This role will provide critical insights into market trends, customer behaviour, pricing, and performance across our charter business.

What you’ll do:

  • Target Setting & Performance Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to establish commercial objectives and critical metrics across various program, office, and product categories (such as revenue, bookings, charter utilisation, customer growth, demand generation metrics). Develop bottom-up and top-down target models aligned with strategic plan. Track performance against targets and provide variance analysis with actionable insights. Maintain dashboards and tools with our BI Team for ongoing performance monitoring and accountability.
  • Market & Competitor Pricing Analysis: Keep on top of trends in the sailing industry including yacht sales, charters, events, and services, supporting pricing decisions by analysing demand, competitor rates, and customer data. Analyse competitor pricing, positioning, and commercial strategies.
  • Commercial Reporting: Produce and automate regular dashboards and reports on sales, margins, customer critical metrics, and profitability. Work with BI Analyst to update and maintain dashboards.
  • Business Development: Evaluate new business opportunities such as new base openings & franchise partnerships.
  • Customer Insights: Analyse customer behaviour, retention, and segmentation across our digital platforms and services.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Partner with Finance and Sales to develop forecasts for revenue, customer demand, and seasonality planning.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product teams to support campaign analysis, return on investment tracking, and commercial optimisation. Engage with team members to build a self-service reporting solution for aiding daily decision making.
  • Contract & Deal Analysis: Review commercial terms and performance of deals such as yacht leases, marina partnerships, and long-term charter contracts.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a commercial, business, or financial analyst role, developing targets, performance reporting, and critical metric tracking.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) with strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with DAX/Python or other data querying tools.
  • Excellent communication and team engagement skills.
