Find where you belong! Are you able to keep a cool head and a tidy inbox while making sure every "i" is dotted and every "t" is crossed for GDPR and RTW? Do you love being the go-to person who has all the answers, but even more excited about coaching your team to find their own? If yes, our People Services Team Leader position might be the right next move for you.
In this role, you will act as the Strategic Compliance and Risk Management lead, transforming the department from a reactive service into a proactive shield for the business. You will take full ownership of the Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) process, ensuring every legal timeline is met with precision while serving as the primary Data Coordinator for the People Team. By delivering specialised compliance training and evolving the Right to Work (RTW) process, you will ensure that recruiting managers across the business don’t just follow steps, but deeply understand the legislative why behind their actions.
In addition, you will oversee Operational Leadership and Team Evolution, balancing the technical work with the growth of your people. You will manage the engine room of the People Team by triaging inbox volumes and ensuring strict SLAs are maintained through meticulous, formatted tracker management. Your success will be defined by your ability to mentor Administrators through monthly one-to-ones and cyclical reviews, transitioning them from transactional processors into confident, role-model professionals who can handle escalations and complex queries independently.
We believe in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can be their true self and belong. We work hard to improve the diversity of our teams and celebrate our differences. And we care about our colleagues' wellbeing, so we ensure there are plenty of resources available so everyone can look after their emotional, physical, financial and work wellbeing. We call this “Better Me”.
You will be a proactive mentoring and knowledge sharer, moving beyond simple task management to become a dedicated coach. Rather than just providing quick fixes to escalations, you will implement a framework that empowers Administrators to interpret and apply complex legislation—such as Maternity rights and Right to Work—independently. By role-modeling high performance and fostering a culture of continuous learning, you will eliminate single points of failure and build a resilient, self-sufficient team capable of maintaining high standards during peak periods.
Additionally, you will drive creative engagement and process optimisation to elevate the team’s impact across the business. You will take ownership of the internal social media plan, using it to humanise the People Services Team, share essential compliance top tips, and support the Sleepy Hollow Colleague Group. Simultaneously, you will refine the RTW portal and reporting tools, transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights that allow senior management to address non-compliance risks before they escalate.
