The purpose of the role is to support UK Branded, Partner, Vault, and supply chain businesses to deliver first class operational excellence to our internal and external stakeholders, Partners, and Suppliers. The role requires an analytical, proactive self-starter who can drive change through the operational organisation. The role is designed to provide a solid platform for the frontline teams to support delivery of operational efficiencies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own and manage the standard operating procedures for all retail store operations including airport, off-airport, and partner propositions.
  • Update & maintain the SOPs for Branded & Non-Branded network.
  • Conduct & lead monthly Partner Operational meetings, driving improvements and addressing challenges.
  • Coordinate, deliver & implement store builds and refurbishments in line with Partner & Travelex brand guidelines.
  • Manage store maintenance requests & 3rd Party service providers.
  • Ensure stores and sites are functioning, secure and compliant.
  • Work with Corporate FM to deliver UK wide support contracts delivering cost benefits.
  • Management & delivery of small change request pipeline for Branded, Non-branded and supply operations.
  • Support the Branded & Non branded businesses in closing FM and Operational audit actions.
  • Identify & deliver operational & supply chain efficiencies.
  • Support the business with analytical reporting & trading targets to enable Retail Management to make informed business decisions.
  • Manage & deliver effective communications across UK stores, and operations.
  • Manage UK Field Facilities Management, Ops support teams and Business Analyst.
  • Lead UK Geo Change agenda.
  • Utilise data to identify and support decision making for operational efficiencies.
  • General point of contact for day-to-day queries & escalation for operational challenges.
  • Manage the process of Archive documentation destruction.
  • Manage continuous process improvements identifying opportunities to remove or improve a process to simplify operations in the UK Geo.
  • Support implementation of new products and services.
  • Fosters an environment of 100% compliance for risk areas e.g., establishes a robust process for the management of KYC, stock limits agreed with risk & Retail function.
  • Support the change team with Operational changes that impact the front line and Operational Control delivery.
  • Lead by example operating "best practice".
  • Management and development of direct reports.
  • Document Risk acceptance processes where required to support change.

Qualifications

  • A demonstrable track record of delivery in the areas of key responsibility.
  • Understanding of retail sales culture and ability to work closely with on-the-ground sales teams.
  • Strong process and procedure capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of operations management and driving efficiencies and delivering cost benefits.
  • A track record of managing 3rd party suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing services.
  • Customer centric.
  • General experience and personal qualities: Tenacity, drive, the ability to operate and make key decisions effectively in a demanding environment, balancing risk with results.
  • Proven ability to lead their area of expertise, focusing on results, proactively solving problems, and supporting the business with solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to apply solid commercial judgment to lead in their area of expertise.
  • A strong record of performance improvement in their area of expertise, through increased sales, cost management or relevant performance measures.
  • Experience of leading change in a multi-site environment.
  • The ability to inspire teams to deliver in challenging circumstances, recognising the need to motivate and develop whilst maintaining pace and juggling priorities.
  • The ability to build strong relationships, developing trust and credibility with customers, partners, peers, teams, internal and external stakeholders.
