Travelex is the global leader in foreign currency, serving over 37 million customers annually. Our Supply Chain plays an essential role in this, ensuring that we have the right currency, in the right locations, at the right time to meet our customers’ travel money needs. In this role, you’ll collect and analyse data from various sources to create reports and dashboards to help the business make informed decisions about inventory levels and supply chain performance. This is a new role in the business so you will work closely with the Supply Chain Director and other key stakeholders to create new reports – a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for data and a structured mindset to make a high impact.
Key accountabilities
- Collect data from multiple systems regarding inventory and supply chain performance – ensuring that frequency of data refresh across systems and countries is understood.
- Filter and “clean” data and standardise formats for accurate analysis.
- Analyse data and create reports that inform decision making, identifying key trends and or outliers.
- Work closely with other data analysts in other departments and the data science team to understand information needs and collaborate with them to develop and automate reporting over time.
- Work closely with other members of the Global Supply Chain team, ensuring all key tasks are covered across the team in case of vacations etc.
Role-specific experience and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (Statistics, Maths, Business) or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Highly proficient in Excel, with a good level of proficiency in data visualisation tools (QuickSuite, Superset, Power BI etc).
- Ability to turn complex data sets into simple summaries, appropriate to the audience.
- Tenacity, drive, and the ability to build a network and reach out to people across the organisation to find information needed and test hypotheses.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with dynamic priorities.
