Travelex is the global leader in foreign currency, serving over 37 million customers annually. Our Supply Chain plays an essential role in this, ensuring that we have the right currency, in the right locations, at the right time to meet our customers’ travel money needs.
In this role, you’ll analyse data to identify optimum stock levels across the business. You’ll provide insight to the inventory teams in each of the geographies in which we trade – balancing customer demand with costs to ensure we have the right products in the right place at the right time. This is a new role in the business so you will work closely with the Supply Chain Director and other key stakeholders to create new processes and ways of working – a fantastic opportunity for an experienced inventory analyst looking for their next step.
Key accountabilities:- Define optimal inventory levels based on sales data, market trends and upcoming events.
- Regularly analyse depth of currencies offered in each region – providing insight to the teams in each region regarding opportunities to contract or broaden the range of currencies offered, balancing cost of stock holding with revenue opportunities.
- Create and maintain a seasonal events calendar which will feed into forecasting systems to enhance forecast accuracy.
- Measure and monitor stock KPIs including stock turn, quality of stock, forecast accuracy and product availability – working cross functionally to drive performance across these metrics.
Work with the Supply Chain Data Analyst to create robust reports and dashboards. Work with our demand forecasting partner, evolving ways of working and enhancing outcomes.
Role-specific experience and skills:- 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a fast moving stock environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – ability to interpret complex data sets and look at data through both the customer and the commercial lens to create balanced conclusions.
- Great cross functional working skills – in this role you will be required to work with colleagues across multiple countries and departments.
- Impact and influence skills – a proven ability to use data to influence outcomes.
- Highly proficient in Excel, with a good level of proficiency in data visualisation tools (QuickSuite, Superset, Power BI etc).
- Familiarity with forecasting and ordering systems and tools.
