Overview
Tesco Travel Money Advisor – Tesco St Rollox, Glasgow – Part Time
Job Type: Permanent • Hours per week: 16 • Salary: £13 per hour + Monthly Bonus
Working Patterns: Flexible shifts between Monday to Sunday. Depending on your team, you will receive a monthly or weekly rota.
What you will be doing
- Nurture and form relationships with customers to understand their travel and currency requirements, then tailor their experience based on destination.
- Establish yourself as a travel money ambassador and trusted advisor, providing support and advice on Travelex products and services.
- Engage with customers to process all foreign exchange transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver on key performance goals that are procedural, operational, and customer-focused.
- Utilise a keen eye for detail to process daily online FX requests and deliveries.
- Implement best practice legal and regulatory standards and adhere to Travelexpliance procedures.
What we’re looking for
- Numerically proficient – comfortable handling large amounts of cash and currency.
- IT proficient – comfortable using computers and in-house till and ordering systems. Full training will be provided; a basic understanding helps on day one.
- Great communicator – able to talk with people and build relationships; good listener who understands others’ needs.
- Desire to succeed – motivated to make a difference and care about the impact you have on customers and colleagues.
Interview process
- Step 1 – Talent Acquisition Partners or Bureau Managers review applications and conduct an initial screening call.
- Step 2 – Online interview with a Talent Acquisition Partner to provide more insight into Travelex and the role; a numerical and accuracy test may be included.
- Step 3 – Bureau visit to meet the Bureau Manager and view the working environment; discuss day-to-day responsibilities.
- Step 4 – If successful, an offer to join Travelex; if unsuccessful, detailed feedback will be provided.
Onboarding may require completing reference checks. A dedicated team supports you through this process.
