Job Category Underwriting Target Openings 1 What Is the Opportunity? Travelers Europe is looking for a Senior Underwriter to join our team in any of our UK or Ireland offices. This role involves working with large and complex clients, collaborating across departments, and managing large renewal accounts. We offer flexible hybrid work arrangements and a £2,500 new joiner bonus, with potential referral bonuses. What Will You Do? Participate as an advisory/referral point for responsible product development. Engage actively in key case underwriting and new business development. Mentor and coach underwriting staff to meet standards and profitability goals. Develop broker and client relationships, acting as a large case expert. Support sector strategy development. Encourage team achievement of underwriting and sales goals. Maintain collaborative relationships across departments. Ensure policies are underwritten in compliance with standards. Leverage broker/client relationships through disciplined sales management. Provide excellent customer service. Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Strong analytical, judgment, and communication skills; team-oriented. Experience in broker planning and engagement. Customer focus and positive broker interaction skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Relationship management skills; ACII preferred. What is a Must Have? Experience in underwriting Property and Casualty insurance.
