What Is the Opportunity?

Our Corporate team uses their specialist expertise to offer bespoke insurance solutions to our largest and most complex clients in the UK and Ireland. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Major Client Manager to join our team in any of our UK offices.

You might come from a Claims, Underwriting, Distribution, Risk Control, or Broking background with great knowledge of property & casualty and/or motor insurance. You’ll have proven experience in client and relationship management, as well as excellent project management skills, with a passion and focus on performance, service, and delivery.

In this role, you will be involved from initial client engagement, working as part of the team to deliver Travelers’ bespoke customer proposition. You will be the first point of contact for new and prospective clients, managing the entire policy lifecycle up to renewal. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams in underwriting, risk control, and claims to ensure service commitments are met.

You will also develop a deep understanding of the client\’s business operations, strategic priorities, industry trends, and risks. Proactively engaging with clients to address their needs and challenges effectively will be key.

Travelers Europe offers flexible working arrangements, including a hybrid model of three days in the office and two days at home, subject to policy changes.

What Will You Do?

  • Manage client accounts, delivering value throughout their relationship with Travelers.
  • Implement effective communication strategies around account priorities and new initiatives.
  • Ensure stakeholders are aligned with account goals and strategies.
  • Share best practices across stakeholders linked to the account.
  • Support internal communication to promote understanding of the corporate proposition.
  • Identify stakeholders and develop internal communication plans.
  • Promote the brand at various levels within the organization.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and business development managers to identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor account performance and trends, reporting insights regularly.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and risks.
  • Maintain documentation and records of account activity.
  • Own the customer\’s experience during their relationship with Travelers.
  • Support team efforts to deliver on the corporate business proposition.
  • Raise awareness of multi-channel products and services.
  • Manage diary and scheduling for timely customer contact.
  • Serve as the lead contact for account-specific matters.
  • Develop solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage activities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Intermediate project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects within tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • ACII qualification preferred.

  • Significant experience in Property and Casualty insurance.
  • Experience managing key client accounts, addressing trends, and mitigating risks.
