Job Category Sales Target Openings 1 What Is the Opportunity? We are recruiting for a Insurance Assistant - Distribution to join our team in Redhill. In this key role, you’ll provide essential administrative and secretarial support to senior managers and departments across Travelers Europe. You\\\'ll be responsible for managing the application process for brokers seeking to establish agency accounts with our UK and Ireland entities, ensuring a seamless and professional experience. You’ll also take ownership of maintaining the agency landscape across all Travelers Europe entities (TICL, TIDAC, TSM, TUAL), making sure that all records are accurate and up to date. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, highly organised, and a confident communicator—both written and verbal. Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

What Will You Do?

• Review broker applications for an agency account (including use of an external tech platform run by the REG Network to carry out due diligence and obtain credit scores for brokers in the UK and Ireland)

• Liaise with other departments involved in the agency process including Distribution, Underwriting, Finance, Credit Control and Legal

• Communicate with the broker at various stages of the application process

• Issuing and managing Terms of Business Agreements (TOBAs) and set up an agency account on the appropriate internal systems.

• Monitor brokers that hold an agency account with Travelers Europe (including responding to REG Network Alerts on matters such as a change of credit score, change of directors etc).

• Maintain broker records on the appropriate internal systems including Salesforce

• Prepare quarterly reports, as required by the Finance Committee.

• Manage the process for terminating an agency account.

• Work alongside other departments involved in the agency process including Distribution, Underwriting, Finance, Credit Control and Legal.

• Prepares correspondence, reports, presentations, spreadsheets.

• May receive, screen and direct incoming calls, visitors, mail and email.

• Maintain files, records, calendars and diaries.

• Use specialist agency management software such as REG Networks and associated tools

• May prepare and submit expense accounts and other type expenses.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative standards, policies and practices for the organisation.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Prior experience as an administrator.
  • High School education or equivalent preferred .
  • General knowledge of administrative support, preferably within Financial Services.
  • Working Knowledge: Sufficient familiarity with the subject to know the basic principles and terminology and to understand and solve simple problems.
  • General Knowledge: Sufficient knowledge of a field to perform most work in normal situations. The work calls for comprehension of standard situations and includes knowledge of most of the significant aspects of the subject.
  • Intermediate tact, discretion and courtesy.
  • Intermediate skill level required for software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Intermediate conflict resolution skills preferred via phone and occasionally in person.
  • Basic understanding of change management concepts.
  • Advanced ability to maintain highly confidential information including business plans, legal actions, etc.
  • Able to apply experience, skills, and knowledge to procedures, processes, and techniques to the more complex situations of the job.

  • Basic judgement and problem solving required.
