What Is the Opportunity?
We are seeking an Associate Underwriter to join our PI team on a temporary basis. This role involves producing and underwriting new and renewal business from assigned brokers, assisting the wider underwriting team, making sound underwriting decisions throughout the policy lifecycle, and supporting financial and business objectives through excellent service and responsiveness.
Travelers Europe offers flexible hybrid work arrangements, allowing employees to work three days in the office and two days remotely, subject to policy changes.
What Will You Do?
- Underwrite and assess risk to maximize business growth and profitability within your authority.
- Support development underwriters with new business, renewals, and mid-term alterations.
- Provide leadership and coaching to support the development of the Associate Underwriter.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cross-sell products.
- Maintain accurate underwriting documentation and adhere to standards.
- Align with Travelers’ underwriting strategies to meet budgeted results.
- Build collaborative relationships across the organization.
- Engage in training to enhance underwriting and sales skills.
- Develop relationships with brokers and execute sales plans to increase market presence.
- Participate in sales and underwriting meetings regularly.
- Support team objectives and demonstrate high customer service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
