Travelers Europe is a leading insurance company, and we are seeking a talented and experienced Delegated Claims Specialist to join our team in London or Redhill. In this role, you will be managing the Delegated Claim Authority (DCA) due diligence and audit process within Claim Europe. The role involves coordinating the application of the Delegated Authority Control Framework, providing guidance to Underwriters and Claims, and ensuring compliance with Lloyd's minimum standards.
Responsibilities include onboarding and renewing Delegated Claim Administrators and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. We are looking for someone with experience in the Lloyd's/London market and currently working in a Delegated Authority role. Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full-time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro-rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion. This role is eligible for a £1500 new joiner bonus. If you are successfully referred by an employee at Travelers Europe, both you and the person who referred you could be eligible for this bonus.
What Will You Do?
- Work closely with the DASS team, Compliance, all business units, and Claim.
- Engage with DCA’s, Underwriters, and brokers to ensure delivery of services are being upheld in accordance with the Claim Handling Guidelines and that SLA's are being met.
- Identify, secure, and upload information to all stakeholder management systems.
- Engage with Travelers Enterprise TPA Management Team to ensure they are fully informed of new DCA arrangements and the completion of audits in accordance with the Audit Schedule.
- Work with the Delegated Claims Performance and Insights Manager to ensure that appropriate metrics are provided to give up-to-date information on the performance of DCA’s.
- Develop and leverage productive internal stakeholder, broker, and DCA relationships through a high level of visibility and using a disciplined claim controls approach in support of business objectives.
- Support underwriters in the generation of new business by leveraging existing DCA relationships.
- Ensure the application of the Delegated Authority Control Framework is complied with and provide advice and guidance to Underwriters and the Vendor and Delegated Claims Manager to ensure the Delegated Authority Control Framework remains up to date.
- Provide advice and guidance to Underwriters, Claim, Compliance, and other stakeholders on current Delegated Claim requirements. This will include the completion of information to be submitted to Lloyd's for specific DCA approvals.
- Ensure effective operation of the Delegated Claim function across all business units, ensuring that it remains in compliance with Lloyd's minimum standards.

- Ensure Loss Funds are adequate, correctly processed, and reviewed on a regular basis, requesting return once all claims are closed.
- Coordinate and undertake wider projects and duties in relation to DCA business.
- Manage DCA audit schedule and DAM Workbasket ensuring audits are scoped, conducted, and reviewed, with follow-up actions documented and mitigated in accordance with internal controls.
- Prepare and maintain various management reports as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Previous experience of DCA management.
- Intermediate knowledge and ability required in respect of analytical thinking, judgement, decision making, communication and strong teamwork.
- Demonstrates intermediate ability in the areas of positive interaction with underwriters, internal and external auditors.
- Demonstrates intermediate knowledge and ability in respect of Microsoft Office systems including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates intermediate relationship management skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of organisational and regulatory rules, policies, procedures.
