Analyse data to identify business trends and translate insights into business value.
Projects including unpicking legacy data cleansing and garnering insight particularly segmenting our book to ensure we select the optimal business mix. Work with cross functional teams on varying business initiatives.
Use data visualization to communicate the business story, and recommend solutions.
Support business intelligence with Proofs of Concept by leveraging knowledge of legacy systems and understanding what frontend Underwriters need to know.
Work with multi-level dimensional data towards the ultimate design required to meet business requests.
Complete reconciliations and validation tests to ensure results are accurate and understand potential issues with current processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Economics, Business, or related.
- Solid analytics or related experience working in the insurance industry.
- Experience using data visualisation tools.
- Knowledge of descriptive and diagnostic analytic processes, including multi-variate analysis, data quality, data reporting, and data retrieval.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present technical data and trends impacting the business.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners and develop productive professional relationships.
- Awareness and adherence to established data management practices and standards.
- Solution focused attitude is a must.
