As our Senior Product Manager for customer acquisition and research, you’ll lead the top‑of‑funnel experience—crafting the very first impressions for small business owners as they land on our pages, research their insurance needs, and begin their journey with us.

You are pioneering the next generation of online sales experiences within an agile, cross‑functional value stream, with the freedom to experiment, obsess over conversion optimisation, and leverage emerging AI and Generative AI technologies to reimagine how complex products feel to the consumer.

Responsibilities

  • Own the discovery, delivery, and roadmap for our online sales journey, ensuring continuous optimisation of conversion flows and unlocking new audiences.
  • Lead the design of highly personalised, flexible, and intuitive landing and research experiences by integrating AI and Generative AI solutions.
  • Champion user‑centered design to transform complex insurance products into a seamless, hassle‑free online purchase journey.
  • Drive a Build‑Measure‑Learn culture, continuously experimenting and owning key conversion‑to‑purchase OKRs.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, data analytics, design, marketing, and insurance product teams to align around shared high‑impact goals.
  • Make data‑driven trade‑offs that balance delivery speed with high‑quality user experiences, using commercial and technical judgment.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in iterative product development—from ideation and discovery to launch and optimisation—ideally within agile or value‑stream frameworks.
  • Tech‑forward and AI‑curious, with strong technological acumen and a passion for applying AI/Gen AI frameworks to solve real‑world user problems.
  • Data‑driven and analytical, comfortable using tools such as Amplitude, Looker, or Tableau to inform product strategy.
  • Natural collaborator and influencer, able to unite cross‑functional teams and diverse stakeholders around a shared mission.
  • Inspirational leader who motivates teams through complex challenges and balances design, technical, and commercial trade‑offs.
  • Regulated‑industry savvy is a plus; previous experience in fintech or insurtech is welcomed but not required.

Benefits

You will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience and the current market, plus an annual bonus opportunity based on performance. In addition, we offer:

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase five additional days.
  • Flexible parental leave: six months full pay for the primary caregiver and four weeks full pay for the secondary caregiver.

  • Pension match up to five percent of your contributions.
  • Tax‑free life assurance policy equivalent to four times basic salary, upgradable to ten times with flexible benefits.
  • Salary‑sacrifice car scheme to purchase a new, fully insured, and maintained car for a fixed monthly amount deducted from gross salary after six months of service.

How to prepare for a job interview at Travelers Canada

Understand the Product Life Cycle

As a product management candidate, we need to get our head around the complete product life cycle. Be prepared to discuss real-world examples of how you’ve managed product development from ideation to launch. Bring specific insights on tools like JIRA or Trello that can help streamline these processes.

Showcase Your Cross-Functional Skills

Product management is all about collaboration. We should be ready to highlight how we’ve worked across teams—think marketing, engineering, and design. Prepare to discuss scenarios where you had to mediate differing opinions and how you got everyone on board with a shared vision.

Prepare for Case Studies

In a full-time role, we can expect to encounter case study questions during our interviews. Practise solving hypothetical product problems on the spot, such as prioritising features for a new app or improving user engagement metrics. This will show our analytical thinking and decision-making skills.

Know Your Metrics

Let’s face it, numbers are our best friends in product management. We should prepare to discuss key performance indicators (KPIs) and how we've used analytics to inform product decisions. Dive into examples where data has driven our strategy for improvements or justified product changes.
