What Will You Do?
- Litigate cases to verdict, demonstrating superior use of trial skills and techniques.
- Independently handle a moderate caseload of professional indemnity claims from inception through trial/resolution.
- Work under guidance of the Head of Legal Practice on complex and high-exposure files.
- Conduct legal research and supervise research projects delegated to Paralegals and Legal Secretaries.
- Draft interim motions, briefs, disclosure requests and other court documents.
- Attend court events and other appointments independently.
- Understand client expectations and the ABS business goals, and assist in meeting those goals.
- Seek and participate in special projects and committees.
- Provide recommendations and case analysis to business partners on file-handling strategy.
- Integrate legal support staff into the case-handling process.
- Build and maintain superior internal and external client relationships.
- Complete required administrative tasks such as time reporting, case closure and reporting.
- Use technology and automation effectively in legal practice.
- Adhere to standards of excellence in file management.
- Strictly comply with the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct.
- Act in an ethical manner at all times and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Keep accurate records of all transactions with customers, brokers and other parties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
