What Will You Do?

  • Litigate cases to verdict, demonstrating superior use of trial skills and techniques.
  • Independently handle a moderate caseload of professional indemnity claims from inception through trial/resolution.
  • Work under guidance of the Head of Legal Practice on complex and high-exposure files.
  • Conduct legal research and supervise research projects delegated to Paralegals and Legal Secretaries.
  • Draft interim motions, briefs, disclosure requests and other court documents.
  • Attend court events and other appointments independently.
  • Understand client expectations and the ABS business goals, and assist in meeting those goals.
  • Seek and participate in special projects and committees.
  • Provide recommendations and case analysis to business partners on file-handling strategy.
  • Integrate legal support staff into the case-handling process.
  • Build and maintain superior internal and external client relationships.
  • Complete required administrative tasks such as time reporting, case closure and reporting.
  • Use technology and automation effectively in legal practice.
  • Adhere to standards of excellence in file management.
  • Strictly comply with the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct.
  • Act in an ethical manner at all times and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Keep accurate records of all transactions with customers, brokers and other parties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
