We are looking for an experienced travel consultant to work for a specialist tour operator who create bespoke, tailor-made itineraries to worldwide destinations, exploring some of the World\’s most famous sites. Whether that is a scenic trip through the Rocky Mountains or an adrenaline fuelled experience free-falling in to the Grand Canyon on a giant swing. The ideal candidate will be experienced in selling tailor-made long haul holidays and have a real passion for travel and customer service. If you have previously worked in retail travel and are now looking for progression or are currently working in tour operations but want a specialist role this could be the ideal job for you!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Selling Worldwide tailor-made holiday and tours, via telephone and email. All of the enquiries will be for worldwide destinations, and with many of the enquiries / Bookings being for multi-centres and tours, direct customers and Agents. Candidates living in Greater Manchester areas, South Manchester and Cheshire are in good locations, for this role.
Responsibilities include:
-Create detailed itineraries to customer\’s exact requirements via the telephone and email
-Source ground arrangements with overseas supplier.
– Using your travel industry experience and solid destination / product knowledge to assist you in advising your clients on their options.
– Delivering excellent levels of customer service, maintaining the strong reputation of this travel company.
– Using GDS, daily.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
This is an excellent position working for an established and growing, Specialist travel company in Manchester. Previous travel experience is essential, having worked in either retail travel or tour operations, and you will use your excellent destination knowledge to create long lasting and memorable experiences for your clients. This an opportunity that\’s not to be missed.
