A new opening for a Sales & Marketing Account Director is available. This role is to manage some of our signature clients within our luxury sales and marketing portfolio. You must have UK market luxury travel industry sales experience with a specific focus towards the relevant region.
The position involves running the trade sales relationships for the relevant clients within our portfolio.
- Direct responsibility for managing International sales clients within a destination cluster.
- Overall responsibility to promote and support all sales clients within the UK market and within wider European markets when need dictates.
- Organisation and execution of all clients' UK market visits, roadshows, events and sales calls.
- Day to day management of the relationship with all relevant clients alongside the relevant PR team where appropriate as well as the senior management team.
- All monthly/bi-monthly reporting where relevant across all clients with direct responsibility.
- Management of all key UK market accounts.
- Alongside the wider sales team, regularly ensuring our in-house CRM system is up to date, accurate and populated with relevant sales activities, market trends, changes in personnel and key contacts.
- Ensuring all client collateral, reports and updates are made.
- Keeping regular contact with all relevant clients to ensure they are continuously aware of the work we are doing for them in the UK market.
- As the role evolves and the business develops, there may be the need and ambition to diversify within different destinations outside of the initial remit.
- Maintaining an interest in key destinations for the UK luxury travel market.
- As a sales & marketing team, we operate as a united front promoting our own brand, divisions within our business as well as our clients' interests.
- Maintaining strong and healthy relationships through transparent and regular communication will be key to success within the role.
- Promoting our role, our values and our people in a positive light.
- As a senior member of the team, the Account Director will be responsible for understanding all workings of the business and have a commitment towards our continued success as an organisation.
Skills Required:
- Experienced and confident in sales representation and the general working of the UK luxury travel market.
- Comfortable at presenting and entertaining and building a strong rapport with both clients and the trade alike.
- Highly organised with effortless multi-tasking skills.
- Strong commercial acumen specifically related to the workings of the UK luxury market.
- Knowledge and comprehension of distribution channels, segmentation, contracting processes, margins, as well as pricing and yield.
- Excellent all-round communication skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and multiple clients.
- Ability to deliver commercial and strategic integrated plans for a range of destinations and across a mix of UK market sales channels.
- Strong contacts in place within the travel industry (including tour operators, airlines, tourist boards and high-end travel agencies and concierge companies).
- Knowledge and interest in luxury travel and lifestyle trends.
- Ability to deliver results based on commercial targets and expectations in line with an individual client's goals.
- Organising, hosting and managing trade trips to long and short haul destinations.
- Travelling to clients for meetings and familiarisation trips (these meetings can sometimes be made at short notice).
The Package:
Salary £65,000 - £70,000 London based / Hybrid.
