Exciting Opportunity to work within the Operations Department managing the creation, operation and product delivery of sea and river cruises, land tours and pre and post extensions as directed. The role of Operations Manager is to ensure that a high-quality product is delivered in line with Company brand standards and passenger expectation. It encompasses all aspects of the operational management of the passenger journey from tour inception and initial brochure production to the end of tour.
The Job:
• Working with Senior Manager Planning and Operations on the development of new cruises on as well as with our partner vessels. Developing innovative and interesting land tours and extensions to expand the existing portfolio via discussions with existing and new agents. Direct involvement in the compilation of new tour sheets following the set guidelines in order to bring tourins to market.
• Responsible for checking, editing and approval of brochure and advert copy to meet marketing deadlines and ensuring website information is correct. Maintaining the in-house ships manuals, hotel and ship information booklets. Producing new information booklets in time for product launch when required.
• Developing existing itineraries and implementing changes to future programmes based on passenger and field staff feedback.
• Managing the company's relationships with selected partners.
• Responsible for liaising with Land Operations Manager in the operation and contracting of all pre/post cruise arrangements, shore excursions and transportation.
• Assisting in costing of cruise and land tours working alongside Commercial Team and Land Operations Manager. Maintaining cost and budget awareness.
• Managing crisis/emergency/operational situations as required, specifically arranging alternative holiday arrangements (flights, hotels etc) liaising with senior management and updating/informing office crisis team of situation and taking on or delegating work as required to ensure a swift resolution.
• Responsible for ensuring the companies CRS and CMS systems are well managed and maintained and kept up to date with all relevant supplier and tour information etc. Also responsible for loading itineraries, ports, hotel and agent details on the CRS as quickly as possible.
Skills Required:
• Previous experience in Operations from Tour Operations in Cruise or Touring.
The Package:
• Salary £48,000 – £55,000 + Annual Bonus
• Hybrid Working in London
