Are you an experienced Product / Contracts Manager within the Travel Industry? Are you experienced in contracting and maintaining excellent supplier relationships? Are you based in Kent and looking to avoid the London commute? We have the perfect role for you!
We are working with an established Tour Operator based in Kent, who are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join their team.
The role:
- Negotiation of Escorted Tours, Cruises and FIT/Beach contracts and special offers in line with company expectations.
- Direct responsibility for contract accuracy and completion.
- Maintain and react to competitor analysis on Escorted Tours, Cruises and FIT/Beach contracts.
- Research and develop new markets and destinations.
- Maintaining excellent supplier relationships and promoting the Mercury brand positively.
- Analyse market trends (both own product and industry) to propose and then develop new products.
- Monitor the daily sales with the Head of Product to highlight areas/products to improve sales for the business.
- Undertake overseas visits from time to time to contract hotels and to inspect destinations and services.
- Ensure all processes for contracts are loaded correctly.
- Ensure timely delivery of all brochures in conjunction with the Head of Product and the marketing department.
- Look to streamline processes and introduce good working practices.
- Ensure the team is working as efficiently and productively as possible and ensure accuracy of all material being sent out from the department.
The person:
- Previous experience as a Product Manager, or Product Executive looking to step up.
- Excellent contracting/negotiation skills.
- Great geographical knowledge (Europe desirable).
- Natural relationship builder.
- Fantastic attention to detail.
- Fantastic multitasker.
- Great team player.
