Are you an Africa travel expert with a passion for wildlife, safari and unforgettable experiences? My client is looking for an experienced Africa Travel Sales Specialist to join an ambitious, independent specialist travel business, creating exceptional bespoke journeys for discerning, high-value clients.
The Role:
- You'll use your expert knowledge of Africa to design and sell tailor-made wildlife, safari, wilderness and adventure experiences, managing enquiries from initial conversation through to confirmed booking.
You'll be responsible for:
- Converting inbound enquiries into high-value bookings
- Creating inspiring, bespoke African itineraries and travel proposals
- Providing expert advice across destinations including Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana, Namibia, Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa
- Building strong, long-term relationships with private clients
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Developing relationships with DMCs, safari operators, lodges and camps
- Keeping your destination knowledge current and bringing fresh ideas to the business
And the best part? Once you've secured the booking, our dedicated admin and accounts teams take over - leaving you free to focus on sales and building fantastic client relationships.
Experience required:
- We're looking for someone who has extensive personal travel experience across Africa
- Has proven experience in travel sales, ideally handling high-value bookings
- Has strong knowledge of safari, wildlife, wilderness and soft adventure travel
- Can create detailed, compelling bespoke itineraries
- Is commercially driven, organised and highly motivated
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Is confident working independently while contributing to a supportive team
- Is proactive, creative and keen to bring new ideas
- Has experience with CRM systems and itinerary-building software such as Wetu (desirable)
