Leading Midlands based Tour Operator is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to work in their Birmingham offices (near Birmingham Airport). This is an established travel company that continues to grow. Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will be ensuring that reporting and financial transactions are up to date, timely and accurate. This comes with a competitive salary of up to 28k pa (negotiable/DOE) with extensive benefits and excellent career prospects. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Completing Daily Sales & Commission reports (with analysis and commentary)
- Bank Account reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliation and postings
- Supplier reconciliation for cost of sales
- Assisting with the weekly Cashflow Forecast
- Assisting with Month end Management Accounts preparation
- Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
- Analysis of key general ledger accounts
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
You will have previous experience of working for a Travel company within a finance team. You will be a good communicator, able to work under pressure, prioritise with excellent attention to detail. You will be proficient in MS Excel and Word. Ideally you will be AAT qualified and have experience using Sage and Dolphin.
THE PACKAGE:
A competitive starting salary of up to 28k is available for the successful candidate and this is negotiable and dependent on experience. In addition there will be a bonus and extensive benefits package, as well as solid opportunities for career development. The role is fully office based but hybrid will be considered after 6 months.
