An independent TMC based with offices in North Kent and on the Surrey / Sussex boarder, are looking for an experienced Groups / MICE Events Support Coordinator to joint heir team.
Main Purpose of the Role:
Groups, Meetings & Events Support Coordinator, working within our G,M&E team. The team looks after delegate and VIP travel for summits, roundtables, conferences, and large and small-scale events. This role supports them with the bookings and organisation behind the scenes.
It's an office-based support role. Unlike most events positions, it doesn't involve venue inspections or attending client events, so the hours are regular.
Key Accountabilities:
- Booking group and delegate air in the GDS, plus hotel room blocks, rail, and transfers
- Managing delegate lists, rooming lists, and manifests
- Tracking option dates, deposits, and release deadlines
- Handling amendments, cancellations, and late changes
- Liaising with suppliers, client organisers, and the wider team
Skills & Experience?
The candidate doesn't need an events background. An experienced business travel consultant looking for a change would suit this role well -
- At least 2 years' travel booking experience, ideally in business travel
- Confident GDS skills (preferably Amadeus), including ticketing and amendments
- Very strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle several bookings and deadlines
- Clear, friendly communication and a calm approach when plans change
- Comfortable with Excel or similar for managing lists and manifests
- Experience of group fares, hotel allocations or delegate travel would be a bonus, but it isn't essential.
The Package?
- Location: Kent or Gatwick office
- Hours: full time, Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30. We'd also consider 3 or 4 days a week
- Salary: Β£31,000 - Β£33,000 depending on experience, pro rata for part time
