A well-established and respected UK Destination Management company is seeking an MICE Operations Project Manager to curate itineraries for MICE Groups. If you are passionate about crafting unforgettable events that run smoothly and have experience of working with B2B, handling MICE clients in this field, this is your ideal role. With a starting salary of circa £35k pa - £45k pa dependent on experience and seniority, plus additional benefits and being part of a great DMC, you can forge a long-term career.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Handling the MICE Group Clients for the DMC
  • Develop original and exciting program proposals tailored to client needs and budgets.
  • Prepare detailed event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Secure the best deals with suppliers by negotiating contracts and confirming service details.
  • Manage all aspects of pre-production, ensuring seamless delivery of the event.
  • Assist with onsite event management, guaranteeing a smooth and successful experience for clients.
  • Respond to inquiries from potential and existing clients, providing exceptional customer service.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • An experienced MICE Events Project Manager with strong account management, project management as well as complex event logistics skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a DMC and must already have planned and organised social events, excursions and transportation for large groups.
  • You should be very organised and quick-thinking trouble shooters with strong commercial acumen and have an extremely good London and UK knowledge in terms of venues, special event options (excursions, tours, sight-seeing), and transport and travel distances.
  • A detailed, meticulous and proactive approach.
  • Knowledgeable and confident handling large scale events.
  • Fluent in English, and any additional European languages would be highly desirable.
  • A second European language is strongly desired for this role.

THE PACKAGE

With a starting salary of circa £35k - £45k pa DOE, this is a great opportunity to play a vital role in creating unforgettable events for a diverse clientele. This is a permanent full-time role located in London, hybrid/flexible working after training and probation (potentially negotiable on flexibility dependent on experience).
