Exciting opportunity to join one of Australia's most innovative adventure tour operators as their UK Destination Manager. We are seeking a Travel Professional with extensive experience in the UK walking and hiking holiday market, who has experience working with product and contracting for the UK, but with broad all-round operational, sales and service experience for this varied role. If pounding The Peak District and exploring The Lake District is your passion and expertise, then this could be a fantastic next career move!
In this exciting and fulfilling role you will be working within the dynamic adventure travel industry, supporting and inspiring new and existing clients. As a Destination Manager you will work as a people and product leader who makes key decisions on the UK walking and hiking product. You will be responsible for the growth, development and reporting for your team and revenue in your region. This position will begin with two direct reports, but the team will grow with the product.
Responsibilities:- Identify potential issues proactively, find solutions and ensure your area receives the marketing, product, systems development and resources it needs to meet both customer and company expectations.
- Ensure outstanding customer experience throughout the client journey.
- Takes bookings from sale and works with providers on the ground to deliver accommodation and associated services to the highest standard.
- Previous experience of this niche product offering is required.
- Ideally you have worked for a tour operator with a product department, specifically focusing on UK walking, hiking and adventure.
- Prior to that, you should hold broader sales and operations experience from a tour operator to combine all these skills.
