Exciting opportunity for an experienced Tour Operations Business Development Manager to take on a new challenge with a multiple award-winning niche Travel brand. They have a luxury travel product offering across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. They are keen to both strengthen existing relationships and expand their presence.
If you are an Agency Sales Manager who is well-located to cover retail and consortia travel agency across the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, this could be your next move. Starting salary is experience dependent up to Β£45k pa, plus car allowance, bonus, and FAM trips.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be part of a team responsible for the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The role will focus heavily on generating revenue growth through retail and consortia travel agencies, strengthening partnerships, and increasing brand awareness and engagement within the travel trade.
This is a highly visible, relationship-driven role that requires exceptional communication, commercial awareness, and presentation skills. This is a full-time position within the Sales Team reporting to the Sales Director, UK & Europe. The role is field-based with regular travel across your region, and you will be willing to cover evenings and weekends as required for events and road shows.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow revenue within the assigned territory, to achieve agreed sales targets. Work with the UK marketing team to develop targeted trade marketing campaigns, incentives, and training materials. Maintain accurate records of sales activity and produce weekly and monthly sales reports.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
You will be currently (or recently have been) a Business Development Manager in a Travel Company, with a good knowledge of and contacts with the UK Retail Travel industry in the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. You will be a skilled relationship builder, a confident trainer & presenter, with good commercial awareness. You will be based in a location that makes it viable for you to travel across the South-West of England and West Midlands.
