We are working with a leading Travel Management Company based in London who are looking for a Group Business Travel Consultant to join their Travel & Events division, due to the successful growth of the business. This is a varied role and as a Group Business Travel Consultant you will support the Events and Business Travel Departments, managing UK and global travel logistics for groups of 10 - 1,000+ passengers, negotiating competitive rates with airline and hotel providers and controlling budgets. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in booking group travel logistics and excellent fares knowledge.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working on a range of event travel projects for groups
- Create group and individual reservations
- Negotiate competitive fares with suppliers
- Seek cost effective solutions in line with client objectives
- Maintain client focus at all times and demonstrate excellent service levels
- Understand client accounts
- Achieve pre-agreed objectives and KPIs
- Support the Team Lead(s) and Head of Event Travel on tasks and projects
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Experience booking and ticketing group travel
- GDS experience is essential
- Excellent fare and ticketing knowledge including Published, Net, Group, and Consolidator fares
- Cvent and/or understanding of event registration tools advantageous
- Experience working in a high-pressured environment
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent geographical and airline schedule knowledge
- The ability to work on multiple events at the same time
PACKAGE:
- £38,000 - depending on experience
- Working shifts Monday - Friday
