Amazing opportunity to join our marketing team in East Sussex. This is a balanced role, split approximately 50/50 between design and content writing, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing visual creativity with clear, engaging written communication. This role suits a strong marketing all-rounder rather than a specialist graphic designer. Much of the design work involves producing high-quality, template-led materials within established brand guidelines, so comfort with structured, repeatable outputs is essential.
The Job:
- Design and deliver a wide range of marketing materials, including brochures and flyers, programme itineraries, presentations, banners, and exhibition materials.
- Work confidently within existing brand guidelines to produce accurate, consistent, and high-quality assets.
- Develop, maintain, and improve branded templates to support efficient production at scale.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and printers when required, often working to deadlines.
- Write clear, compelling, and audience-appropriate content, including website and landing page content, blogs and articles, and marketing copy for campaigns and sales collateral.
- Adapt tone, structure, and messaging using defined audience personas.
- Write and manage email marketing content to support lead generation and nurturing.
- Analyse email performance (open rates, click-through rates, ROI) and suggest improvements.
- Support email automation and lead nurturing activity through HubSpot CRM.
- Act as a brand advocate, ensuring all visual and written outputs meet brand standards.
- Own the organisation, maintenance, and updating of brand assets and templates within our digital asset management systems.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales colleagues to support campaigns and partnerships.
- Use analytics and reporting tools to understand performance and inform recommendations.
- Use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini) to support content ideation and drafting.
Skills Required:
- At least 2 years' experience in a marketing, content, or creative role.
- Strong experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and Canva.
- Excellent written English, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
- Strong visual eye and understanding of layout, hierarchy, and brand consistency.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple assets and deadlines.
- Comfortable taking ownership and accountability for your work.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting B2B marketing activity.
- Knowledge of SEO, WordPress, and content optimisation.
- Experience editing short-form or promotional video content.
- Familiarity with CRM-led marketing and email automation (HubSpot preferred but not essential).
The package:
- Competitive salary £30,000 - £35,000 DOE.
- Hybrid working (2 days per week in the office).
- Additional annual leave.
- Company pension & sick pay.
- Casual dress.
- Regular staff socials.
- Opportunity to travel to international destinations.
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday (very occasional evenings/weekends for events).
Contract: Full-time, Permanent.
