Do you have experience working in the Travel & Tourism Industry? Do you have excellent communication and relationship building skills? Based in Kent and looking to avoid the London commute? We have the role for you! We are working with a boutique Travel & Tourism Representation Agency based in Kent, who due to a recent increase in business/accounts, are looking to grow their lovely team and bring in a new Account Manager, to help increase sales and brand awareness for specific clients in the leisure tourism and consumer sectors.
The role:
- Maintain a high level of presence in the industry and promote the face of the company and specific clients whilst undertaking the role.
- Raise the brand awareness of the accounts through sales and innovative marketing.
- Maintain high level of contact with trade partners to include tour operators (planning, product and marketing level contacts), airlines, National Tourist Boards, other trade partners and the press.
- Increase coverage with existing tour operators and explore opportunities with new distribution areas both in the leisure and the business tourism areas.
- Oversee the management, arrangement and participation in trade and consumer shows and co-operative promotions as necessary.
- Help with or manage all aspects of the accounts visits to the UK and Europe as necessary including setting up relevant appointments, travel arrangements, hotel bookings, entertainment, measure results and write reports on all activities.
- Produce four market updates per year for accounts (subject to client requirements).
- Initiate and organise marketing activity such as promotions and/or programmes with trade partners and third parties.
- Initiate and coordinate familiarisation visits for travel trade and complete all follow up on return.
- Coordinate and send out monthly sales reports to specific accounts with the assistance of the account executive.
- Evaluate and monitor targets are being met on an ongoing basis. Targets will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.
- Work with the PR Manager to maximise opportunities for accounts in consumer and travel trade press.
The Person:
- 3yrs+ experience in an account executive level ideally within tourism industry.
- Excellent communication and sales skills with the ability to develop relationships at all levels.
- Excellent computer skills including Relationship Management Data Base, email marketing systems, MS office products and Photoshop, social media etc.
- Excellent management skills and ability to develop the account executive.
- Ability to work from home and travel alone where required.
- Ability to measure all activities and promotions undertaken.
- Ability to work within budget.
- Work well under pressure and multi-task.
- Contacts in the leisure travel trade market particularly with tour operators, agents and airlines.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
The package:
- A salary of circa £35,000 (flexible dependant on experience).
- Hybrid working - 2 days in the office, 3 from home.
