My client are looking for a creative, commercially minded Senior Tour Developer to join a growing Product team, developing distinctive escorted tours and cruise-and-tour packages across the globe. From initial concept to launch, you'll take ownership of creating compelling itineraries, negotiating with overseas suppliers and delivering high-quality, commercially successful holiday products.
Key Duties:
- Develop innovative escorted tours and cruise-and-tour itineraries.
- Research new destinations, trends and unique customer experiences.
- Build strong relationships with international suppliers, DMCs, hotels and cruise lines.
- Negotiate competitive rates, exclusive experiences and added-value inclusions.
- Manage product costing, pricing, budgets and profit margins.
- Coordinate product delivery, ensuring accuracy, quality and deadlines are met.
- Work with Marketing to develop engaging product content and key selling points.
- Review sales performance and customer feedback to improve existing products.
- Support and train the sales team on new and existing products.
Experience required:
- Proven experience in tour development, escorted touring or cruise-and-tour product creation.
- Strong international destination and itinerary knowledge.
- Confident supplier negotiator with excellent commercial awareness.
- Skilled in costing, pricing, budgeting and margin management.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects.
- Creative, proactive and passionate about developing standout holidays.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with a tour operator or cruise specialist is highly desirable.
