Team Leader - Africa London/Hybrid Up to £40,000 Plus Commission
The Team Leader - Africa will be responsible for leading, developing, and supporting a high-performing team across the African region. The role will oversee day-to-day activities, drive regional performance, maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure that business objectives are consistently achieved.
The successful candidate will combine strong leadership and people-management skills with a solid understanding of the African market. They will be commercially focused, highly organised, and comfortable working across multiple countries, cultures, and business environments.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Management
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing regional team.
Set clear objectives, priorities, and performance expectations.
Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews, and team meetings.
Identify training and development needs and support individual career progression.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
Manage performance issues fairly and effectively.
Regional Management
Take ownership of performance and activity across the African region.
Develop and implement regional plans aligned with wider business objectives.
Monitor market developments, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
Identify opportunities for growth across existing and new African markets.
Ensure consistent processes, standards, and best practices across the region.
Provide regular reporting and insight to senior management.
Commercial / Business Development
Drive revenue, growth, or other agreed commercial targets across the region.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, agents, and other key stakeholders.
Support the identification and development of new business opportunities.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure a high level of customer service and delivery.
Negotiate and manage commercial relationships where appropriate.
